Betsy Self Elijah

Betsy Self Elijah is thrilled to serve as a nonfiction editor for Quay! With a Masters in Creative Writing: Memoir and Creative Nonfiction from Goddard College and a B.A. in English from Whitman College, Betsy has taught personal narrative writing workshops in the Philadelphia public school system, Free Library of Philadelphia, Mt. Airy Learning Tree, and Pan African Studies Community Education Program at Temple University. Born in South Korea and adopted by a Caucasian family in the 1970s, Betsy has written a memoir about adoption and identity. Betsy has an affinity for 80's music and novels by Nicole Mones, A.S. Byatt and Guy Gavriel Kay.
